The History of Stucco
For nearly 150 years, stucco was a popular building material due to its affordability, aesthetic beauty, and low maintenance needs. During the late 1980s to the late 2000s, it became especially popular in the United States.
What builders didn’t know then was that stucco isn’t ideal for the climate in the Northeastern United States. Moisture damage can easily happen through the porous stucco, ruining the structural foundations of your home. For that reason, it is no longer used in new home construction in the Northeastern United States.

Stucco Repair vs. Stucco Remediation
Stucco remediation is a much wiser choice than stucco repair. Stucco repair will only remove the damaged stucco and replace it with new stucco. Stucco repair may only be a band-aid solution for underlying foundational damage. Often, it is impossible to match the patch and the original stucco, and, since it doesn’t take care of any deeper deterioration, stucco repair may not comply with local building codes.

When I found a wet spot on my upstairs bathroom ceiling, I called them and they came out immediately, found where the roof was leaking and fixed the problem.
